How to become a Member.
New Employee to IAG New Zealand Limited
If you are within 30 days of commencing your employment with IAG, you will be currently covered by the terms of the IAGSA Collective Agreement. Within that 30 days you need to complete an Active Choice Form, making a choice to join a union or not.
You can choose to join the IAGSA Inc.
To continue to be covered by the terms and conditions of the IAGSA Collective Agreement and to have access to the support and assistance available you need to become a paying member by completing a Membership Application and paying a subscription of $10 per pay fortnight. This payment will be deducted from your pay. You are covered by the IAGSA Collective Agreement from the date you sign the Membership Application form.
Current Employee of IAG New Zealand Limited
If you are a current employee in IAG and not a member of the IAGSA you can join at any time by completing a Membership Application and paying a subscription of $10 per pay fortnight. This payment will be deducted from your pay. You are covered by the IAGSA Collective Agreement from the date you sign the Membership Application form.

- The IAG actively strive to find solution for members issues/ concerns and encourage effective two-way consultation between the IAG New Zealand Limited and its employees. This allows members to fully participate in matters that affect them.
- The IAGSA are involved in consulting on the annual salary line review, and any ongoing review of performance management or the remuneration system.
- The IAGSA provide support and guidance should it be required with My Performance and other performance related matters.
- Should the occasion arise, the IAGSA can provide advice support and representation and dealing with disciplinary matters and personal grievances.

How much does it cost?
The cost of a subscription to join the IAGSA is $10.00 each pay fortnight and this amount will be deducted from your salary.
If you go on Parental/Maternity Leave, Leave Without Pay, or take a Career Break, you will remain a member of the IAGSA continuing to be covered by the collective agreement, but have a subscription holiday. Once you return to work your subscription deductions will be restarted.
Note: The IAGSA reserves the right to accept or refuse Membership Applications.
