The IAGSA Inc. exists solely for its members and has evolved to become the largest union in IAG New Zealand Limited.
The IAGSA Inc. is a Union that is exclusive to employees of IAG New Zealand Limited. Our Collective Agreement covers employees across all brands that come under the IAG umbrella i.e.: NZI, State, AMI, Lumley, Lantern Insurance, SWANN and NAC. This exclusivity means the IAGSA can offer its members a solid focus on their concerns and is able to concentrate its energies on improving employment conditions and supporting its members, with a sound knowledge of the business they are employed in.
IAGSA Members are encouraged to fully participate in matters that affect them, and the IAGSA prides itself on the relationship that has been developed with IAG New Zealand Limited. Effective, two-way consultation between the company and its employees (via the IAGSA) has led to more informed management decisions.
The IAGSA are involved through consultation in all aspects of the business that may affect their members, including remuneration and performance management and any ongoing reviews within the business.
Who is the IAGSA Inc.

- We pride ourselves on the ability to focus on being practical, supporting members, and actively consulting with IAG on a myriad of issues that may arise.
- As the IAGSA Representatives work alongside you, we have a greater understanding of the culture, workplace, and the business you are employed in.
- We negotiate a Collective Agreement with IAG New Zealand Limited, and members have opportunities to be involved including putting forward suggestions to enhance the Collective Agreement.

Main objectives of the IAGSA Inc.
- To promote and protect the welfare and interests of its members.
- To act as bargaining agent for members in the collective agreement process.
- To communicate between members and IAG New Zealand Limited.
- To create an environment of mutual understanding and co-operation between members and IAG New Zealand Limited.
- To represent the interest of members in disputes, disciplinary meetings and personal grievance procedures when required.
